# AI Overview overview

See whether Google's AI Overview cites your site, your position among its sources and who else is cited.

Open AI Overview in the dashboard; the website comes from the switcher in the header. Each term is a search term or question plus an optional target page on your site.

## What a run does

- Searches Google in a real browser.
- Detects the AI Overview and, when it's collapsed, expands it to read every source. It only reads the answer; nothing is changed.
- Records whether your site is cited, your position among the cited links, the total number of sources and the other cited domains.
- When you're cited, clicks your link and browses your site with your dwell settings.

## Not found

Runs that don't find you say why: no AI Overview shown, or shown but your site wasn't cited. Every finished run counts towards the daily click allowance, cited or not. After 3 runs in a row without a citation, the term pauses automatically and you get a notification.

## Daily clicks

SERP clicks, Local Business and AI Overview share one daily click pool per website. Plan usage shows the total and a breakdown by module. Search terms are also one allowance per website, shared by SERP clicks, Local Business and AI Overview, with the same breakdown.

## Map and areas

Each run is plotted at the approximate location of the network it really used, coloured by your citation position, and grouped into areas with your average position.
