In short

Competitors is included on every plan. It reads the organic results on every results page your SERP click runs already load, up to position 30 (domain, position, page, title and URL), so it needs no extra searches and no connected accounts. Track 3 to 50 competitor domains per website depending on plan, see who appears most often for your terms, compare positions and share of visibility over time, export CSV and read it over the API.

Questions

Competitors FAQ

Where does competitor data come from?

From the results pages your SERP click runs already load. We track every results page we check, up to position 30, recording the organic listings on each (domain, position, page, title and URL). A run stops once it finds your listing, so pages after that aren't checked on that run. We don't run extra searches or connect to any outside accounts.

How often is it updated?

Whenever a run for one of your search terms loads a results page. Terms with more clicks per day are captured more often. Data starts filling in after your first completed runs.

How many competitors can I track?

Per website: 3 on Starter, 5 on Growth, 10 on Scale, 20 on Pro, 30 on Business and 50 on Enterprise. Suggestions are unlimited.

How is share of visibility calculated?

For each search term and day we weight the top 10 positions by typical click-through (position 1 counts most), add up each domain's weight and divide by the total. The site figure is the average across your terms. Top 30 visibility uses the same idea for positions 1–30, from runs that checked all three results pages.

Does Competitors cost extra?

No. It's included on every plan at no extra charge and doesn't use any of your clicks.
