Competitors overview

Track rival domains, compare positions and share of visibility, and get alerts when they move.

Open SERP clicks → Competitors. Data comes from the results pages your runs already load for each search term: the organic listings on every results page we check, up to position 30 (domain, position, page, title and URL). A run stops paging once it finds your listing, so a term where you rank on page one usually only has page one for that run. Nothing extra is searched, and no outside accounts are connected.

Tracked competitors

Add a domain such as rival.co.uk (subdomains count towards the same domain only if you add them separately). Limits per website: Starter 3, Growth 5, Scale 10, Pro 20, Business 30, Enterprise 50. Removing a competitor keeps its history.

Suggestions

Domains that appear most often for your terms in the last 30 or 90 days (in the top 10, top 30 or anywhere we checked, following the filter at the top), with the number of terms, times seen and average position. Press Track to add one.

Share of visibility

For each term and day, the top 10 positions are weighted by typical click-through (31.7, 24.7, 18.7, 13.6, 9.5, 6.2, 4.2, 3.1, 3.0, 2.5). A domain's share is its weight divided by the total. The website figure averages each term's latest day. Top 30 visibility extends the weights to positions 11–30 (1.8 down to 0.2) and uses each term's latest run that checked all three results pages.

Positions beyond the top 10

The comparison table shows positions 1–30 with the results page they were on. Use Top 10, Top 30 or All to choose how far down to show; a position below the filter shows as >10 or >30.

Alerts

Once a day we compare each term's latest capture with the one before it. A tracked competitor that moves 3 or more places within the top 10, enters or leaves the top 10, or enters or leaves the top 30, creates an in-app notification (Settings → Notifications → Competitor moves) and a competitor.rank.changed webhook event.

Export and API

  • Comparison CSV: one row per term with your and each competitor's latest position and results page (follows the Top 10 / Top 30 / All filter), plus share of visibility and Top 30 visibility.
  • Results history CSV: every captured result for the period with its position and page.
  • GET /api/v1/projects/{id}/competitors: tracked competitors and share of visibility.
  • GET /api/v1/projects/{id}/competitors/rankings?since=&until=&term_id=&domain=&all=true&max_position=&page=: captured positions 1–30 with page and snapshot_max_page.

Positions are what our runs saw at the time, from the device and location of each term. Data only appears after runs complete, and terms that aren't running don't update.
