Local Business overview

Track your position in Google's local map results, see the businesses around you and send visits to your listing.

Open Local Business in the dashboard; the website comes from the switcher in the header. Each term is a search term plus your business name (exactly as it appears in local results), a location (town, area or postcode) and optionally a link to your listing.

What a run does

  • Searches Google in a real browser in the term’s country, and in its US state or city when you set one.
  • Reads the local map results: the top three and, when shown, the full local list.
  • Records your position, how many businesses were listed and the rivals ahead of and behind you, with ratings and review counts when shown.
  • Opens your listing and follows its website link, then browses your site with the same dwell settings as SERP clicks. A listing without a website link is visited for your dwell time.

Not found

If you aren't listed, the run is logged as not found and says whether local results were shown at all. Every finished run counts towards the daily click allowance, whether or not you’re listed. After 3 runs in a row where you aren't listed, the term pauses automatically and you get a notification.

Daily clicks

SERP clicks, Local Business and AI Overview share one daily click pool per website. Finished runs count whether or not you're listed, as do runs that meet a verification check on your site; blocked and failed runs don't. Plan usage shows the total and a breakdown by module. Each module has its own term limit.

Map and areas

The map shows your business pin (placed from your location; drag it to correct it) and a dot for every run at the approximate location of the network it really used, coloured by your position. Runs are grouped into areas with your average position and the businesses most often directly ahead and behind. We never fake or spoof locations.
